Precision Piano was founded by Frank Fischer, a graduate of the North Bennet Street School's Advanced Piano Technology program. Today the team includes technicians trained in that same tradition of hands-on craftsmanship, dedicated to keeping every piano we touch sounding its best.

• Frank Fischer
  Owner & Piano Technician

  Frank Fischer has spent the last forty years tuning, rebuilding, moving, and refinishing pianos across North Carolina, Illinois, and for the last 20 years, midcoast Maine. Coming from a career in farming, Frank transitioned to piano work attending the two year program at North Bennet Street School in Boston. Frank has restored dozens of pianos, rebuilt countless actions, and continues to move these pianos safely into the client house. Over the last two decades, Frank has refined his tuning skills as the concert technician at Kneisal Hall and Bay Chamber Concerts.

• Will Borchard
  Piano Technician

  Will is a recent graduate of the North Bennet Street School Piano Technician program. Will has trained with Steinway concert technicians at the Brevard Music Center and Faust Harrison Pianos in NYC. As a new rebuilder, Will is passionate about incorpororating the latest innovations to piano action redesign in our work. As a Registered Piano Technician, Will has earned the certification for industry recognition in piano tuning, repair, and regulation.
